TACOS

TWINCLING Society launches the TACOS product development initiative.

The vision is to provide a web based intelligent configuration service which helps users to
- migrate easily from Windows to Linux/BSD system
- automatically setup core services on Linux/BSD system

TSM - DSpace - 4th November - Saturday - 5pm - at CommVault Systems

The next TWINCLING Saturday Meet (TSM) is scheduled to be held
on Saturday - 4th November
in the evening from 5pm - 8pm.
on 5th Floor, Conference Room,
CommVault Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd.

The topic is "DSPACE".

DSPACE is an open source software package which provides
the tools for management of digital assets, and is commonly
used as the basis for an institutional repository.

It is also intended as a platform for Digital preservation
activities. Since its release in 2002, as a product of the
HP-MIT Alliance, it has been installed and is in production
at over 100 institutions around the globe, from large
universities to small higher education colleges and
research centres.

The speaker is Mr. Narender Rao, who is a Build & Integration
specialist. He also undertook Redhat certification (RHCE, 98%)
and has guided many aspiring students on RHCE.

He also invests time in Open Source and has closely explored
LFS (Linux from Scratch) on approaches to build a custom Linux distro.

On behalf of the Society, we are thankful that
Mr. Narender Rao has kindly given his consent to deliver
the Talk on this very important technology.

All the members and their friends / colleagues are invited to
benefit from talk on DSpace.

This is a FREE event.
